Why Seeing Success As A Journey Improves Stress
While clearing the bookshelf last week, I was pleasantly surprised to find my former psychology research! When I wrote it back in '06 I was keen to find out how we choose our identities and why we think about ourselves the way we do. Seeing it today, as I prepare for our next big expansion, I am reminded that each gain and level attained makes way for the next and then the next.
Just like my thesis and perhaps also like some personal achievements you can think of too; they all pass and before you know it you will be moving on to the next challenge.
When you are embarking on your goals and reaching for the stars remember that in the larger picture, it's just one step among many yet to come. Just remembering this can do wonders to sooth performance anxiety and stress.
