Wouldn't it be amazing if before each meeting at work, or just between interactions, there were a way to cleanse your hearts palette? You know, in the same way you might cleanse your taste buds with a sorbet between dishes to make sure you can experience the delicate flavours of the next course

And then I thought, oh, well of course we have the perfect thing for that! A line from the sufi mystic poet Hafiz. Any line that speaks to you will do, but here are one or two to start with:

Admit something.
Everyone you see, you say to them "Love me." Of course you do not do this out loud:
Otherwise,
Someone would call the cops.
Still, though, think about this,
This great pull in us to connect.
Why not become the one
Who lives with a full moon in each eye
That is always saying,
With that sweet moon
Language
What every other eye in this world
Is dying to
Hear?

Hafiz

I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in the darkness,
The Astonishing Light
Of your own Being!

I caught the happy virus last night
When I was out singing beneath the stars.
It is remarkably contagious -
So kiss me.

Hafiz

Why
Abstain from love
When like the beautiful snow goose
Someday your soul
Will leave this summer camp
